Toshiba Railway Europe GmbH (TRG), founded in 2018, is a subsidiary of Toshiba Infrastructure Systems & Solutions Corporation and thus belongs to Toshiba Corporation, Tokyo/Japan. “Committed to People. Committed to the Future.” is our promise and guiding principle of our developments of technical and sustainable solutions. Following this motivation, TRG develops innovative hybrid locomotives for shunting and line service as well as hybrid drive systems for rail vehicles at its locations in Kiel and Düsseldorf, in which our long-lasting and safe Toshiba SCiB™ battery systems are used.

To strengthen our project management team in Kiel or Düsseldorf, we are looking for a sub-project manager with the potential to develop into a Project Manager. - full-time or part-time (min. 30 hours).

Your tasks

  • Project Management: Manage and monitor all projects, create schedules, and ensure requirements and deadlines are met.
  • Customer and Supplier Relationships: Build and maintain relationships, conduct negotiations, and serve as the point of contact post-sale.
  • Budget and Cost Control: Manage the project budget, approve expenditures, and control costs.
  • Reporting and Quality Assurance: Prepare progress and cost reports, review them, and ensure quality and schedule of deliveries from outsourced companies.
  • Standards and Business Development: Ensure adherence to all necessary standards and norms, supporting Toshiba’s business development activities.

Your profil

  • Ideally have a university degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or a similar discipline, or
  • Alternatively, a technical education specializing in electrical engineering, mechatronics or similar fields.
  • At least 5 years of relevant project management experience. Ideally, you will have gained this experience in an industrial company producing complex vehicles.
  • Be willing to travel: You enjoy travelling within Germany and look forward to the opportunity to get to know different locations and projects.
  • International communication skills: As part of an international company, you will be able to converse fluently in English and German (min. B2). This will enable you to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients from different countries.
  • Industry knowledge: If you have previous experience in the rail industry, this is an advantage but not essential. We value your expertise and your ability to pick up new subjects quickly.
